Waste management is essential in today’s society. Due to an increase in population, the generation of waste is getting doubled day by day. Waste management is the managing of waste by disposal and recycling of it. Moreover, waste management needs proper techniques keeping in mind the environmental situations.
This week, the science department organised a scavenger hunt, in which the students were given an assignment to differentiate between degradable and non-degradable waste materials. The purpose of this activity was to inform the students about the importance of waste management by following the right techniques for the betterment of our planet.
Various waste management initiatives are being taken in our country, one of them being the Swachh Bharat Abhyaan, which is advocated by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, to urge the population to take steps towards achieving a clean India.
We must understand that by reducing waste, conserving resources, and advocating for a healthier planet, we can ensure that the Earth remains a thriving and vibrant place for generations to come.
Remember, our Earth is not just a place; it’s a legacy that we must protect.
