About DPS Society

The DPS Society is a non-profit, non-proprietary, private, educational organization. This Global Network of over 200 English medium, co-educational, secular schools provides education from Pre-Nursery/Nursery to Class XII. The DPS Family – with its transcontinental identity, is not merely a list of institutions, persons, or facts; it is a network of values, systems, and relationships.

For more than six decades, the DPS Society has developed with a spirit and a vision. Today it stands as a citadel of learning and a harbinger of quality consciousness, committed to developing the minds and initiatives of children. The vitality of the classrooms, the energy of the playing fields, and the open friendliness of the work environment have enabled DPS students to reach their fullest potential –whether in securing distinctions in the board examinations or winning national /international accolades in drama, debates, or sports. Outstanding board results and securing enviable positions in the entrance tests to various professional colleges and institutes of international repute are the accepted identities of a DPS school.

Innovation is fundamental to DPS learning programs and its faculty has endeavored to revolutionize in terms of ideas and practices, to match the demands of twenty-first-century educational trends and global associations. The primary focus is on meaningful and joyful learning. Academia from the country and abroad, meet to exchange and partake of diverse cultural and intellectual experiences.

Educational programs evolve from the felt needs, incorporating contextual issues and challenges. Activities and events related to value education, environment, health education, games and sports, visual and performing arts, culture and heritage, international experience sharing, personality development, etc. are effectively woven into the main fabric of the school curriculum.

Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, former Vice Chairman DPS Society and its esteemed member for many years, has recently taken over as the Chairman of The DPS Society w.e.f, August 1, 2023. He continues to be the Chairman, of DPS Noida.
A former IAS officer, Sir rose to become the Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India in his illustrious career spanning five decades. Given his outstanding contribution to the field of Public Administration, Shri. B. K. Chaturvedi was awarded Padma Bhushan by the President of India in 2010. In his distinguished innings, he was also a member of the Planning Commission, the Government of India, and the 13th Finance Commission.
A Master of Physics from Allahabad University, Shri. Chaturvedi completed his higher studies in Public Administration at the University of Manchester. After joining the Civil Services (UP Cadre) he worked in various responsible capacities such as Secretary, Ministries of HRD, Petroleum, and Finance; Executive Director, of the Trade Development Authority and Chairman, of the State Trading Corporation of India. During his tenure, some key economic reforms such as opening up of insurance sector for private companies, deregulation of the oil sector, etc., were undertaken apart from setting up of the first liquefied National Gas Terminal of the country. Sir has represented India globally for negotiations on oil, bilateral trade, and energy issues and has been a member of the UNICEF and UNDP boards.
An erudite scholar, Shri. B.K. Chaturvedi has authored two books and published several papers in national and international journals in the fields of planning, energy, transport, and public administration.
